Property Description

Close to the Attractions
The quiet village of Templeton is ideally located for exploring Pembrokeshire. Narberth, with its eclectic shops, galleries and cafes, is nearby as are Folly Farm and Oakwood. The spectacular Pembrokeshire coastline and its varied delights, from bustling Tenby to sleepy Amroth, are also just a short drive from the village.

Enclosed Garden
Ger y Nant’s delightful enclosed garden has a small lawn and a generously sized patio with wooden furniture. There is ample off-street parking for at least three cars and level access and ground floor accommodation makes the property ideal for elderly or infirm visitors.

Luxurious 100% cotton sheets and towels are provided for your comfort and children and well behaved dogs are welcome.

A supply of luxury hand made soap and moisturiser from Myddfai trading company, a social enterprise helping adults with learning difficulties achieve more are provided for your use.

Please note that Ger y Nant is a non-smoking property.

Accommodation

Spectacular Entrance Hall
Ger y Nant’s spectacular, galleried entrance hall is situated in the middle of the property and provides access to the house’s two wings. The hall incorporates a generously sized family shower room and has a wooden staircase with open treads which leads to the upper floor. The gallery itself includes an intimate and peaceful seating area.

Large, Luxurious Lounge
The ground floor of the south wing contains the main lounge, kitchen and dining area. The lounge is welcoming, spacious and airy and has access to the patio and garden via a sliding door. The plentiful and luxurious seating is ideal for relaxing after a busy day and a large flat-screen TV with Blueray DVD are provided for your entertainment.

Open Plan Kitchen with Country Views
The contemporary open plan kitchen and dining area enjoy glorious views across the garden to the rolling fields beyond. The kitchen contains all the expected modern facilities whilst the oak dining table is extendable and can comfortably seat up to ten people.

Suite with 1 King Size bedroom. 1 Twin room.
The south wing’s upper storey has a two room suite with views across pastures and woods. One bedroom has a king size bed and its own comfortable seating area. The other has two single beds. Both rooms share a large modern bathroom, complete with a double-ended bath and separate double shower.

Ground Floor Double Bedroom with Ensuite and Separate Lounge
The ground floor of the north wing contains an ensuite bedroom and cosy lounge. The comfortable double bedroom has a king size bed, modern oak furniture and an integral ensuite with double shower cubicle. Next to it is a cosy lounge which has its own flat-screen TV and Blueray DVD and a range of inviting seating. An interior door separates the wing from the main hallway.

Spacious Twin Bedrooms
The two spacious twin bedrooms on the upper floor of the north wing are mirror images of each other. The luxurious and welcoming rooms have twin aspect views, oak furniture and a well appointed ensuite shower room.

Ger y Nant has under-floor heating on the ground floor and oil fired heating on the upper floors. As we like to do our bit for the planet we have fitted solar panels which provide the house’s hot water.

During longer stays Ger y Nant will be cleaned once a week and linen will be changed at this time.

With its three Blue Flag beaches, Tenby is one of the prettiest seaside towns in Wales and easily matches the Cornish towns of Mevagissey and Polperro for quaintness and charm. The original Welsh stronghold, called Dinbych y Pysgod (which translates as “little town of fishes"), was turned into a fortified town by The Normans. You can still see most of the old town walls which enclosed the medieval town beyond but only one small keep tower from the castle remains. Since the 19th century Tenby is has been a popular holiday destination for visitors from England and Wales alike and event today it is not difficult to see why. Whether you are looking for picturesque golden beaches, peace and quiet or a little hustle and bustle, Tenby has something to suit everyone. Tenby is only 20 minutes from Templeton.

If you want to enjoy beach life on a slightly smaller scale then there is no better place than Amroth. Like many coastal sites in Pembrokeshire, Amroth used to be the site of a Norman castle. The ruins have long since vanished and the current castle was built in the late 18th and early 19th century. This enchanting seaside village has a south-facing Blue Flag beach whose waters are said to be the warmest on the Pembrokeshire coast. With shops, cafes and public houses right on the beach and woods and a park just a short walk away, Amroth is an ideal place for a traditional family day out. Amroth is just 15 minutes away from Templeton.
