There really is loads to see and do in Carmarthenshire, nearby Pembrokeshire and Swansea. Here we've listed a few of the local attractions and places of interest to give you some inspiration.

With its three Blue Flag beaches, Tenby is one of the prettiest seaside towns in Wales and easily matches the Cornish towns of Mevagissey and Polperro for quaintness and charm. The original Welsh stronghold, called Dinbych y Pysgod (which translates as “little town of fishes"), was turned into a fortified town by The Normans. You can still see most of the old town walls which enclosed the medieval town beyond but only one small keep tower from the castle remains. Since the 19th century Tenby is has been a popular holiday destination for visitors from England and Wales alike and event today it is not difficult to see why. Whether you are looking for picturesque golden beaches, peace and quiet or a little hustle and bustle, Tenby has something to suit everyone. Tenby is only 20 minutes from Templeton.

If you want to enjoy beach life on a slightly smaller scale then there is no better place than Amroth. Like many coastal sites in Pembrokeshire, Amroth used to be the site of a Norman castle. The ruins have long since vanished and the current castle was built in the late 18th and early 19th century. This enchanting seaside village has a south-facing Blue Flag beach whose waters are said to be the warmest on the Pembrokeshire coast. With shops, cafes and public houses right on the beach and woods and a park just a short walk away, Amroth is an ideal place for a traditional family day out. Amroth is just 15 minutes away from Templeton.
